We have developed our CM3.. for you. Two motor variants are now available from 2025. Both motor types are characterized by high power density, compactness and precision. The difference lies in the load to be moved for which the motors are optimized. Discover your ideal solution in the modular servomotor system.
New in the modular system is the CM3P.. (High Dynamic) with outstanding dynamics for the shortest cycle times. In combination with the optional BZ.. safety brake, with increased working capacity, it is the ideal solution, especially for hoist applications.
The CM3P.. (High Dynamic) for the shortest cycle times with low loads. High power density and maximum acceleration values are trademarks of this type. Thanks to minimal inertia and high overload capacity, the shortest cycle times can be realized and thus the cost-effectiveness of your machine can be increased.
Both motor variants can be combined with all SEW-EURODRIVE gear unit designs in a modular and individual manner. In addition, both motor types can be extended with the same accessories and the same options from the modular system. This provides you with a highly flexible modular system, even for synchronous servomotors, from which you can find the right servomotor in the required design for almost any dynamic application.
The synchronous servomotors look the same from the outside, but the inside conceals a revolutionary change. Thanks to the latest winding and magnet technology, the dimensions remain identical, but two different motor variants are created. This allows you to select the right drive with the same motor geometry, regardless of whether dynamics or high loads are required.
Detailed technical information on the two motor designs:
MOVIKIT® are prefabricated software modules that are used to solve simple drive functions and even sophisticated motion control functions. Our goal – your added value: Significantly shorten startup times by providing configurable automation and motion control functions.
Digital motor and data integration succeeds thanks to the MOVILINK® DDI digital interface. The basis is single-cable technology. Our motors and inverters from the MOVI-C® modular automation system actually only require a hybrid cable for power supply and data transmission. On the one hand, the hybrid cable supplies the motor with power and MOVILINK® DDI, a digital encoder, transmits all the necessary power, brake and diagnostic data between the inverter and motor. This saves you time and costs during installation and startup.
You will receive the two motor designs of the CM3.. on request also with safety brake and safety encoder. These can be integrated in the servomotor individually or in combination.
The following safety functions can be implemented with the safety brake:
The safety encoders can be used to provide safety functions with regard to speed, direction of rotation, standstill and relative position, e.g. SS1, SS2, SOS, SLA, SLS, SDI and SLI in accordance with IEC 61800 5-2-1.
Depending on the country, the use of drive technology and drive electronics is subject to different functional and/or product-related requirements. Certain product markings must be met when importing goods, for example. Both "Medium Inertia" and "High Dynamic" synchronous servomotors have the required country product designations.
